Who is Goal Beyond?

Goal Beyond Inc., a non-profit organization based in San Diego, is dedicated to assisting learners in achieving durable economic mobility.​

​

​Our charitable mission is to assist learners along their entire academic path into a career that provides durable economic mobility. ​

What is the Economic Mobility Fund?​

As part of our newly established Beyond Restart program, the Economic Mobility Fund grants borrowers with defaulted private student loan debt the opportunity to sharpen their professional skills and obtain financial wellness support – creating a fresh start. ​​

As a part of the program, our fellows gain access to two professional tracks, in collaboration with our amazing partners:​

Financial Wellness Partner: National Foundation for Credit Counseling

NFCC-certified credit counselors provide our fellows with a personalized consultation resulting in a comprehensive budget and financial action plan. The plan charts the path to financial growth by offering strategies to address debt, increase savings, and meet personal money goals for economic mobility.

Next Steps:

If you are accepted into the NFCC pilot, you will receive a notification from their team to set up an initial financial counseling session.

Career Upskilling Partner: AscentUp

AscentUp provides our fellows with an online toolbox of career resources along with mentors to assist our fellows on their career-upskilling journey every step of the way.

If you are accepted into the AscentUp pilot, you will receive an on-boarding email from AscentUp with next steps to register.

​This program is designed to grant borrowers with defaulted private student loan debt the opportunity to enhance their career skills and obtain financial wellness support. Our ultimate goal is to enable durable economic mobility for all fellows.

How will it benefit me?

This dual-tracked program enables fellows to improve their professional skills, grow their career opportunities, and rehabilitate their financial outlook.

FAQs

  • How much time and engagement does this program require?​​

    • Our program has two components and we encourage fellows to opt into both tracks. AscentUp is self-paced with over 500 hours of content with a recommended hour commitment daily. Engagement with NFCC varies after the initial financial counseling session.​​​

  • What happens if I cannot complete the program?​​

    • You have 30 days after the receipt of your letter to opt-in to the Beyond Restart Program. If you do not opt-in within that time-frame, you will be automatically withdrawn. If you have already registered and need assistance, please reach out to our team at info@goalbeyond.org.

  • What type of technology do I need to complete the program?​​

    • You will need an active e-mail account, phone number, and internet connection.​​

​

  • Is my information secure?​​

    • Our team follows strict IT protocols to ensure the safety of your data.
